Service Termination
Hello,
As per the thread subject, until further notice, all support and hosting will cease. We kindly ask that you create your full site backups before the end of the month (October 31st, 2008), at which point all remaining hosting accounts will be terminated.
I would like to apologize for any inconvenience. This was not something I would have pictured myself having to do, nor was it something I wanted to have to do.
I do not however, want to leave the remaining members in a bind. Which is why I recommend you check out [http://vlexo.com]. They provide excellent service and a great community.
Once again, I apologize and perhaps one day Retect can be awakened from its slumber and turned around.
Best regards,
eRott

[Latest] Server Rollback
Hello,
I would like to firstly apologize for the recent problems. In order to fix a SSH problem, a server rollback was performed. As a result, you may find if you recently updated any files, those recent changes mat have been lost due to the rollback.
I would once again like to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may or may not have caused you. While all attempts were made to avoid a server rollback and I provide no guarantee's, if you are missing any files, please private message me and I will look into it. Once again I apologize and I would like to emphasize the importance of keeping backups of any changes to your work.
Take care.

[Important] Recent Problems
I am aware there have been a lot of problem's recently with a lot of things around here. Post's not showing up, sub domains not working etc etc.
After speaking with some people it has come to my attention that these problems were the result of a server transfer. There was a problem with the nameserver. It was not updated and as a result, all of your accounts are pointing to the OLD server.
And currently, the HDD's which your account's are on (on the old server), are in READ ONLY mode. Which means, if you try and create a sub-domain, it will not work. This is also why, if you change anything on your website, those changes will not be reflected as you are only changing the content on the OLD server. Same goes for the FTP. If you try to upload something, it's all being directed to the old server. Which also explains the file ownership changes.
This problem is currently being fixed and everything should be back to normal shortly (if not already). I am sorry for this major inconvenience and I do apologize.
Take care.

Forum Rollback
I'm not sure what happened exactly but since yesterday, the forums were experiencing 500 Internal Server Errors. I contacted Alistair (owner) and I believe he or a representative got around to rolling back the forum a day or so.
Sorry guys, you'll have to make a few reposts.
